The C: drive has 13.9GB, of which the WINDOWS folder uses 9.64GB. Within
that, the Microsoft.NET folder uses 2.8GB. It has both v1.0 (2.75GB) and v1.1
(44.6MB) installed.
The .NET folder on our other computers isn't nearly this big. Do I need to
upgrade to a different version of .NET?
(Gotta do something fast... this PC has less than 5% available free space!)
Thanks!!
Wrong Newsgroup. I don't know why I'm still subscribing this (dead) group.
But ok, here we go.

This is really very much. Check out if these files resist under "Tempoary
ASP.Net Files". You can drop the contents of this folder (if you aren't
running a ASP.Net Web-Server).

There are no files in the Temporary ASP.Net folder.
The v.1.0 folder has 390 "SHADOW..." file folders. It looks like each folder
contains the same 8 files. These files account for 2.72GB of the space.
In looking at the Microsoft.NET folder on my computer, it does not contains
any of those "SHADOW..." folders. Can I get rid of them?

Ok. This would have been the case when this machine is (or was) a ASP.Net
Web-Server.

Never seen a dotnetfx installation with these files.

Maybe the saftest way is to remove the dotnetfx, delete these folders (if
they survife) and reinstall.
