I have a situation where the assigned AD profile login script is not
running after it is assigned to a user. I have a current script
assigned called LOG4.EXE. I created a new script that is called
LOG6.EXE that I assigned to about 1K people for testing. During the
test period, I get complaints from people that they do not see their
new LOG6.EXE when they log in, but, instead, they are still getting
LOG4.EXE. It is only after they reboot a couple of times that the new
LOG6.EXE script runs on the PC.
Is there a reason for this delay? Is there a cached mechanism that
prevents a user from running the assigned script after it is
replicated and visible from the AD Users and Computers Administrative
dialog?
Please advise. I am trying to understand what to do to get this
resolved.
Thank you and best regards,
Johnny
Even if replicated the GPO is not direct applied for the user. Did you/the
users run gpupdate /force to reapply the GPO? By default the Group policy
refresh intervall can depend between 90 +/- 30 minutes without that.
