I sometimes get this message when trying to open a dump file with windbg. A
"watchdog" process writes the minidump. Any idea why this happens? I guess
the minidump is corrupt but is there someway to extract info from it?

Windbg version: 6.7.5.0
dbghelp.dll version: 6.7.5.0
SE_DEBUG privilege enabled in watchdog process

thanks,
Marc

Does dumpchk.exe give you any different output, by chance?

Hi ALL,

Any update on this issue. We are also facing the same issue with minidump
file generated by our applicaitons. We use MiniDumpWriteDump from dbghelp.dll
to create the dump file when our applications crash.

Any immediate help from Microsoft guys would be greatly appreciated.
