Hi,

I am having a problem with my machine, probably with some device and want to
know how I can force it to boot in "safe mode". Is there a set of keys I can
press while booting to get it into that mode?

Thanks

Nate

I imagine you want Safe Mode on a "as needed" basis. NOT all the time?

To enter Safe Mode, at the start of the boot process, press and Hold the CTRL
key (or press repeatedly the F8 key). From the BootMenu choose #3 Safe Mode.

Do not be alarmed. Safe mode is different. Screen, backgroung and icon sizes
and colors are differemt. You get a Warning message upon entering Safe Mode,
that's normal to. The background screen displays Safe Mode in the four
corners, normal.

To get out of Safe Mode, reboot. You will probably need to re-adjust some
screen, taksbar, icon settings.
