When I boot up I get the message 'Invalid disk system' (or something
similar - this is by memory). I then re-boot then computer with a start-up
disk and can get to a dos prompt and get to the c: drive. I've tried
restoring the registry files but it doesn't reconize the command, and I have
also tried booting-up to windows by typing win in the windows directory, but
again I get nothing. The computer was working fine, what could I do?

Try booting from win system floppy disk. Once up, type from the a drive sys
c:, reboot and see if that solved your problem
