Hi all,

I am having a strange problem. Whenever I shutdown my Win98 machine, I get a
blue screen almost at the end of the process with the message:
"Exception at 028:000009 in VxD---. This was called from 0028:C001C0D4 in
VxD NDIS(01) + 00004620"

My system is a "gateway" for a home networking scheme with 3 other machines.
It connects to the net via cable modem, and to the other machines at home
via a wireless network (Symphony) using the WinProxy program. When it is
running, I have no problems. It is only when I shut it down that I get this
message. I then have to CTR-ALT-DEL to restart it, it goes through the
scandisk and then everything is back to normal.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thank you

Nate

Hello, Nate,

I am going to suggest that you go through the Windows 98 Shutdown
Troubleshooter. This _may_ not be the cause of the problem, but shutdown
problem(s) need to be eliminated.

Please repost if you need additional help.
