PC error code beeps can be one of the worse sounds you can here your
beloved computer make. There are a few different instances in which
your computer will make warning sounds to alert you to failures or
potential problems. These conditions need to be addressed as soon as
possible to prevent loss of data or expensive hardware. The different
types of beeps include:
POST Failures: In the very worst case your computer may do little else
than beep when you try to turn it on. Usually you will here the beeps
when you first start your computer. The beeps let you know information
about your computer before it is able to show information on the
screen. The turning on process for your computer is called POST, or
Power On Self Test. The computer will sound a single beep if
everything passes the POST. If everything is not fine, your computer
will sound a series of beeps to let you know what the problem is. In
some cases, your computer may be able to continue operating with a
reduced capacity, but most of the time you will be dead in the
water....
