I have had media player 11 installed on my computer for over three months.
Suddenly a few weeks ago, I am now unable to listen to any music I've
downloaded from subscription services because I need a security upgrade.
When I try to get the security upgrade, they tell me that the problem is with
my proxy settings. I then follow directions concerning that and still no
help. When I roll back to WMP 10 I still can't use the songs because
apparently, WMP can't connect to the internet which is crazy because I have
cable internet and it's always on. I'm beyond frustrated and ready to throw
my computer out!!! HELP!!!

You are in a Windows 98 newsgroup. Windows 98 doesn't support WMP 11 (or 10,
for that matter.) Please post your query to an appropriate newsgroup, either
Windows XP General (assuming you have Windows XP) or one that is dedicated
to WMP.
