Windows Spontaneously Exits Standby !?

Hi Had this problem on TWO different laptops so far.

Basically I have standby and hibernation supported and work fine
except that for some reason the computer will come out of hibernation
spontaneously every now and then, not all the way but it will turn on
(but not the display or other system features but all the disk drives
and all mechanics and light indicators) and lock me out so only
shutting it off manually by holding down power button can shut it
down. I have never timed it out but seems to happen maybe 10-30
minutes after I enter standby mode. May be related to power settings
I have postulated but can find no FAQs or troubleshooting pages or
even others with this problem to help me yet.

Very annoying as this is SUCH a usefull feature on a laptop if you
need to run quickly go from class to class at school.

Any help?
