Hi,
How do I configure Netmeeting to work over a simple 2 computer LAN
without using a dial up connection. Although I can't seem to be able to
log on to any Microsoft directory servers anyway. How do I setup a
directory server on my LAN? Or is there something else I need to do?

Thanks
Matt

Not a big problem, type in the other computer's identification and click on
dial. In my situation, my laptop is named, appropriately enough, "laptop". I
type that in the window in Netmeeting, click on dial, and I'm connected.(I
have auto-answer on turned on)

Thanks,
Can't call the other computer using the name that appears in network
neighborhood. I can use it's IP address and it works. Is there anything I can
do to get NetMeeting to recognize the computer name as it appears in network
neighborhoood?

Do both computers need to be running the same version of NetMeeting? 1 has 2.1
the other is running 3.0. The computer running 2.1 can't control shared apps on
the computer running 3.0. 3.0 can run apps on 2.1.

One last thing 1 computer has win98 installed and I installed NetMeeting from
control panel add/remove programs- windows setup. The other computer has
win98se with NetMeeting already installed but is not in the list of windows
components to add in control panel-add/remove programs-windows setup. Is it on
the win98se disk somewhere?

Thanks
Matt
