I got a new computer and have let my young son have my Windows 98 PC. I
reinstalled the OS but there is no internet on his computer. I need to get
all the updates for Windows 98 for his computer using a CD or floppy. I can
use my computer and download them and then install them onto his, but i have
no idea where to go first. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi;

Frankly, since the computer won't ever get online I wouldn't fix it until it
breaks. <g> Seriously, there are several hundred possible fixes you could
download and install, and many of them would likely have no bearing on the
intended purpose of the PC now.

I would bookmark the 98 Resource Center
(http://support.microsoft.com/ph/1139 ) and when an issue arises go there to
find answers. Of course you will already have downloaded and installed the
necessary drivers for whatever is attached to that computer.

Just be sure that before that system ever goes online at all that a bunch of
security patches are installed. Actually, I'd upgrade the youngster to XP
before letting that happen. :)
