I have Acrobat 6.0 and lately when I click on IE links to download PDF
files, all I get is a blank page with a small icon in the top right
corner. For example I went to the Schwab site and attempted to
download my 1099. A blank window with the icon in the top left corner
appeared but no statement. Something must tell IE to link to Acrobat
to open pdf files but I can not figure it out. I am using IE 6.0.

Right-click on the link and select "save to file". That way, the pdf
file will be downloaded to your PC where you can open it directly using
adobe.

I'm cross-posting this to microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion because
there are only a handful of people world-wide that monitor posts in this
group.

And/or, use Foxit instead of Acrobat. (Not sure whether the latest
versions are compatible with '98, but if not oldversion and similar
probably have it. I _think_ version 3 is XP on only.)
