I have a file "W98undo.dat, 175,342KB" in my c: root directory. What is
this and can I delete it? It takes too much media/time to back it up. I
like to do one button full back-ups.
Thanks, Amos

Hi Amos

This file and others were created when the "Save System Files"
Dialog Box was checked at setup. These files allow you to revert
back to the previous Windows version.

To remove the previous Windows system files and the Windows
98 uninstall information.
In Control panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Delete Windows 98 uninstall information,
and then click Add/Remove.
The Windows 98 Uninstall dialog box appears explaining that if you remove
these files, you can no longer uninstall Windows 98.
Click Yes to continue with the uninstall procedure.
A dialog box appears informing you that the files have been successfully
deleted.
Click OK.

If this option doesn't exist the files below can be deleted manually.

The uninstall set consists of the following files:
Windows 98:
Winundo.dat
Winundo.ini
Winlfn.ini

Windows 98 Second Edition:
W98undo.dat
W98undo.ini
Winlfn.ini

Windows Millennium Edition:
W9xundo.dat
W9xundo.ini
Winlfn.ini

Thank you, Bert. Winlfn.ini was not present.
