During the evenings, I will check my work email from home on the web via
Netscape 4.7. I'll often receive attached files (Word, Excel, pdf, etc.).

My Windows 98 allows me two options with these attachments: download
them to my hard disk, or view them without downloading. Because I don't
want to clutter my home computer with work files, I want to view them online.

But when I pick that option, I get an error message saying that a
required file, DLhelper.exe I believe, could not be found.

I don't want to reinstall Windows 98, as everything else works fine on
my computer. What is the easiest and safest way for me to obtain
DLhelper.exe and install it? I cannot find the file on my machine using
file find.

Reinstalling Windows wouldn't help you anyway. DLhelper.exe does not appear
to be a Microsoft file. You probably downloaded something from the Web and
either the download/install was incomplete or you have since lost the file.

In addition to Frank.

That may be a virus, that had been deleted by your antivirus program,
but its traces were not removed from the Registry...
