Hi,

Since Win98 SE comes with IE5, and IE5 DOESN'T have the channels bar,
how do I get the Channels bar onto my desktop?

Please respond. Thank You.

Hi Jean-Claude,

Click on Start>Settings>Active Desktop and select Customize My Desktop. You
will have an opportunity to view the desktop as a web page to add the
channel bar.

Good Luck,

But you see, when I do what you said, the channel bar is not listed as an
item that can be added.
That's the whole problem.
Thanks anyway.

Jean-Claude, do you have: "Show Channel Bar" unchecked ?
Internet Options | Advanced tab
or
Channel bar is missing from the desktop due to corrupted folder.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

No, I DON'T have the "Show channel Bar" item unchecked because I HAVE NO
"Show channel Bar" item in my advanced tab.

The real problem is that I am running Win98 SE, which was a fresh
install, NOT an upgrade, and Win98 SE DOESN'T HAVE a channel bar.

*sigh*, I guess there is no solution but to delete Win98 SE, re-install
Win98, add the Active Desktop Update on IE4, then possibly upgrade to Win98
SE.

Thanks for trying just the same. Good day.
