Hi, could someone please help. I have just reinstalled windows 98SE, IE6.0,
ATI rage 128 video card, sis650 audio onboard, alcatel asdsl modem,
enditall, kodakppm200 printer, grisoft antivirus and zonealarm. Haven`t had
any problems in the past. First I had a corrupt setup.dll file, 2 files
missing - vredir.vxd and dfs.vxd. Replaced these from the disk. On boot up,
just before completion I get a popup saying "Can`t find file msnp32.dll.
press OK and all seems fine.
Searched the drive and all the disks I have installed, no trace of this
file. Went to dll.com and downloaded a copy, put in windows/system, then
windows/system32, then windows, but still get the same message on bootup.
Went into system.ini and at the very bottom it read [MNSP32]. I deleted this
but makes no difference. Can anyone help.

Thanks

Harry

Hi Henri

Exactly right, q166832, had a problem whilst installing a disk, asked for
the windows disk then could not find the file asked for, so cancelled and
rebooted. Have resolved it now. Saw an extra file in control panel/network,
I normally only have 3 but there were 4, removed the extra one and all OK
now. Thank you kindly for advice given

Best regards

Harry Leigh
