I have a problem with the shlwapi.dll. When I start Windows, at a later
stage of the start process (while apps that are running in systray are
loaded) I get an error message like "the file SHLWAPI.DLL is linked to a
missing Export-KERNEL32.DLL:." (translated from my German version). It
occurs at different programs that are loaded (i.e. the time of this message
varies from start to start) and when I select "log off" and log on again
(w/o restarting windows) everything is OK.
Can anyone help me? I haven't changed anything at my Windows installation so
I do not know why this shit happens!

Are you sure about this error. The missing Export is in Kernel32?
If so...
Replace references to XYZ.DLL (below) by the problem file on "your" system,
in this case: KERNEL32.DLL
This type of error message means one of three things.
1- You have the wrong (or corrupted) version of XYZ.DLL on your computer.
2- Or the correct version is NOT in C:\Windows\System
3- Or a WRONG version is also found in C:\Windows folder and is interfering
or even some other folders (look for any more copies of XYZ.DLL and rename
them).
Visit: http://support.microsoft.com/servicedesks/fileversion/dllinfo.asp
Search for XYZ.DLL and see what version is best for you. Make sure "that"
version is in C:\Windows\System and NO other is in C:\Windows or others.
This page refers to missing export for MFC42.DLL but the fix is the same.
