right click c: drive
type ina label(upto 11 characters no spaces hyphens dashes or slashes or
anything unusual)
Click apply then ok.

Where is the message coming from? I've never placed a label on any hard drives
since there were such things, and I HATE when installs do it for me so I remove
it, it isn't needed.

My 2cents. When you choose a name for your label, as suggested and explained
buy all the others, DO NOT USE "Windows" as a name. Why you ask? Look here:
