I don't know where to start but I will describe my problem
and perhaps someone can suggest a solution.
We are recording brain waves (ERPs) to be exact, here in
the Psychology Department at UNLV.
We are using HP VEE 5.0 with a DataTranslation A/D card.
We have no problem recording the brain potentials but we
want to use .wav files as auditory stimuli. When we put out
auditory signals from HP VEE we have no prolem with the
timing of the presentation. When we use the sound card
(Soundblaster)
the timing of the presentation can vary by 40 to 400 msec.
which is totally unacceptable. Everyone that I talk to says
that is because Microsoft Windows is interfering whenever I
go to the soundcard and nobody has a solution. Any help
will be greatly appreciated.
