Does anyone know where and how to install Outlook Express without
having to install IE4 also. The machines I have already have IE4
on them and would like to just install Outlook Express alone.

Thanks.

If you are runnning Windows 98 you can Add/Remove MS Outlook Express.

Select | Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove programs

Select | Windows Setup

Scroll down in the list and you will see Outlook Express. Either
Add/Remove and have your Win98 CD handy or from CABS, etc.

It's been a while since I used IE4/OE and 95, and I assume since you are
posting here your running Windows 96\8.

I was actually interested in Win95 along with Win98.
Some of the machines I'm working on only have Win95 installed.

Boy that was fast, I was just correcting my 96\8 typo. Yeah as far as 98 goes
that's the way. I'll boot up my 95 partition later and see what's up. Just
can't remember but hopefully if I lag someone will post a method. I'm sure you
can somehow but would rather not guess!

O.K. on 95 here's the best I got. I couldn't wait, had to know and it
looks like this is the general method with IE4/Win 95.

Select | Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove programs

Select | Internet Explorer 4.0

Click | Add/Remove

Select "add component to Internet Explorer 4.0" and follow the prompts.
Now yours maybe slightly different but the setup routine asked me

"Download components from MS Web site"

"Install from CDROM"

It went really fast and just installed OE. That should do it. Oh and I
and assuming once more, your goal besides just installing OE, is to not
have to run entire IE setup. That should do it. Also there a few
security updates for OE (email attachments, etc.) so make sure to get
those for all your 95 W/S. I believe there are some for the OE bundled
in Win98. Now of course that means using Windows update and we all know
how much of a joy that is!

Hope that helps

Talk about fast, you really jumped on this.
Thanks for all the help. I'll try it out Monday at work.
Thanks again.
