I am in process of upgrading my OS to win98. According to the docs that
I'm reading in preparation for this task, I'll need not only the OEM
win95 disk, but also the key code for the disk. I have along the way
lost the document that contained the key code. Does this information
reside on the HD where I can retrieve it?

I appreciate in advance any suggestions you have to offer for acquiring
this information.

Thanks, Les

If Win 95 is already installed, you won't need the CD key for it, nor the
disk. If you are attempting a clean install of 98 Upgrade, you will need
the 95 disk, but not the CD Key.

In article <3CFECF01...@sbcglobal.net>, lpl...@sbcglobal.net
says...

Right click "My Computer" and left click on the "Properties" Tab. The
information about the current version of windows and the Product code
should be there.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the upgrade.
