Bypassing Password due to forgetting it

How do I get into my computer to access my .pwl to change
or delete forgotten password? I tried to hit ESC on
startup, tried F5 on startup, and have not yet pulled my
hair out.
Any help would be appreciated.

You may have to delete (win95 isn't it)
