Screwed up Dial-Up Networking

I installed the Dial-Up Networking Upgrade 1.3, and afterwards I began
encountering many problems from it. The initial installation didn't
complete (which is probably a big part of the problem), and now it won't
function properly. Whenever I try to launch the internet using the Dial-
Up Networking directly (meaning I don't double-click on IE to dial up my
server) and I get the following error message:

and if I use ICQ to connect, I get some variation of the above problems.
I have no clue as to what could even remotely be happening here. I don't
have DUN 1.2 on my Windows 95 installation disk (I don't know why, but my
computer came with it pre-installed), so I don't know how to restore it or
anything like that.

Any help you could offer, or perhaps refer me to someone who can if you do
not know the problem, would be incredibly appreciated.

If you have a windows Cdrom then put it in the drive,then
Control Panel/Network and remove all the items there and re-boot.
now add back the three main components you need,

If it prompts that a file being copied is older and it recommends keeping the new
one say NO and use the older ones.
You will have to reset ALL your Internet connection details etc explained on my
page.If this does'nt help you can then try re-installing the DUN 1.3 update,however
use Ctrl Alt Delete to shutdown ALL programs except explorer and systray before
you do and also empty your Windows/Temp folder.

I got a clean copy of telephon.ini located in the Windows folder and
copied it to my computers Windows folder. Re-name the one thats already
there first to telephon.bak and then copy in the new one. For whatever
reason, this file gets corrupted and causes these errors. Good luck !
