Dear,

In my simple application in VB to take care of the telephone I do not obtain
to make that the remote person hears my voice.

Somebody can help me?

what device / TSP are you using?

I presume modem / UniModem.TSP?
Modems work only half-duplex regarding media streaming from / to PC, i.e. you
can only capture _or_ render at the same time.
This issue has been discussed a lot in this newsgroup, just search for
"duplex"...
Especially note the discussion "News from the Full-Duplex front" started by

Andreas,

In the control panel I see the description: "Unimodem Audio Full-duplex
Device", therefore I believe that it would be possible to record and to
execute at the same time in this modem. I already obtained with directsound
to catch the sound of the microphone and to execute in the modem.

Leandro,

this is not possible. The speakerphone mode allows
full duplex interactive conversation but not to record
and playback at the same time. Use phoneSetHookswitch
to activate speakerphone mode.

BTW which modem is it?

That is a red herring. There is no true full duplex modem support in TAPI.
Other non-modem devices do support true full-duplex but not modems (even if
the hardware is capable.)

once again: What you have is half duplex. Stop the
audio in one direction, and you will be able to use
the other direction, but not both at the same time.

Ok Matthias I am thankful... My problem now is the following one:

hEvent = gDX.CreateEvent(Me)
result = phoneSetHookSwitch(hEvent, PHONEHOOKSWITCHDEV_SPEAKER,
PHONEHOOKSWITCHMODE_SPEAKER)

However always the error occurs: "PHONEERR_INVALPHONEHANDLE"

I work in VB and am connecting the call with the following code:

Set gobjCall = gobjAddress.CreateCall(number,
LINEADDRESSTYPE_PHONENUMBER, TAPIMEDIATYPE_AUDIO)
gobjCall.Connect (False)

However I do not obtain to catch handle of the line, Somebody can help me
with an example in VB?

Leandro,

seems you are mixing up TAPI2 and TAPI3. With TAPI3
you need to use the phone object interfaces (ITPhone, etc.)
These are only available with TAPI3.1 but not with TAPI3.0
(W2k).

With the DirectSound I only obtain to treat a flow for time (entered or exit
of the sound)..

No, you can't record when speakerphone mode is active.

are with immense difficulty to work with HookSwitchState.

In the truth I am a little lost therefore in the MSDN says that the
PhoneOpen method of TAPI 3,1 is analogous to the one of TAPI 2 (I work with
tapi 3.X).

I am carrying through the call with:

Set gobjCall = gobjAddress.CreateCall("999999999",
LINEADDRESSTYPE_PHONENUMBER, TAPIMEDIATYPE_AUDIO)

When in TAPIMEDIATYPE_AUDIO place I use TAPIMEDIATYPE_DATAMODEM I obtain to
hear the person of the other side of the line, but it does not hear me.

My accepted TSP only TAPIMEDIATYPE_AUDIO or TAPIMEDIATYPE_DATAMODEM
