I have a client that uses an IMAP server for their email system. I want to
use CDO at their site, so I instructed the client to re-install Outlook 98
in Corporate/Workgroup mode insted of Internet only. However, the client
tells me that the IMAP service is not available in Outlook when you install
it in C/W mode. This sounds unlikely to me, but can anyone shed any light
on this?

That is exactly right, IMAP4 is only supported by Outlook in the Internet Only
Mode.

Thanks for responding Dmitry,
so CDO or MAPI will not work
in this case?

Some things might work, some will definitely fail. MS position is "use X-MAPI or
CDO in IMO at your own risk".

CDO won't even logon. It gives an MAPI_E_UNKNOWN_FLAGS error.
