After I have created an Outlook Folder how can I set the initial View on the
folder if all I know is its name. I'd prefer NOT to use the OOM and simply
set a property on the folder.

Thanks.

Hello Michael,
From your description, I understand that you are trying to custom a
folder's view. I suggest you taking a look at following article and please
let me know if it meets your need. Thanks.

Hello,

NO, I am not trying to create a new custom view.

I have code that does the following:

1) Create a new folder then
2) What I would like to do here is to set the default view to be used on the
new folder, for example set it to 'Phone List' in the case of a Contact
folder.

So, the first time a user clicks on the new folder they will see the Phone
List view instead of the Address Card view.

Can I do this setting a MAPI property ?

Did you try to set the PR_FOLDER_XVIEWINFO_E property?
