Hi,
Does anyone know what exception c000008e is? The
application I've developed is occasionally stopped with
this exception signelled by Dr.Watson when run in NT 4.0
environment. This effect cannot be obtained regularly,
however.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Im not sure but I think I had the same exception once.
And after debuging I found a that I had allocated a new IRP but I did not
step to
to the next stack loaction. It migth not be the case for you but double
check that!

Correct:
PIRP pNewIrp=IoAllocateIrp(pDeviceObject->StackSize,FALSE);
IoGetNextIrpStackLocation(pNewIrp)->MajorFunction=Major;
