I tried downloading and installing the DDK and it's not there. It doesn't
seem to be included with Visual Studio 2005 either. Anyone have a clue where
to find this MS tool for detecting memory leaks?

Thanks,

Yep, that's where I started. DDK did not have UMDH. Then I tried Platform SDK
ISO but it would not install because during install it asked for another disk
(there is only one ISO in the downloads for it...peculiar).

Between Microsoft's circular URL references, "dead" URL's and apparently
misinformation, I'm starting to feel like I'm chasing my tail here.

I guess I'll keep searching...

The umdh.exe I have installed is part of the Debugging Tools for Windows:

The link for the debugging tools is wrong, it points you to the DDK what you
want is WinDbg. Go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/DevTools/Debugging/default.mspx
