BMP file format question

I use bitmap info header (BITMAPINFOHEADER) with negative biHeight value.
After I'd saved such a picture in BMP file format I could not open it by
Paint utility.
Does that mean that BMP file format does not support negative biHeight?

Hi,

The file format certainly supports having a negative height. What your
experiment suggests is that Paint doesn't support reading files with
a negative height.
