How to Install VAS PC V19 Hotfix for VAG Group Diagnostic Software
VAS PC is a diagnostic software for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat and Bentley vehicles. It allows you to communicate with the vehicle's control units, read and clear fault codes, perform adaptations, coding, basic settings and output tests. VAS PC requires a compatible interface such as VAS 5054A to connect to the vehicle.
In this article, we will show you how to install VAS PC V19 hotfix, which is an update that fixes some bugs and improves the performance of the software. The hotfix is only compatible with VAS PC V19.00, V19.01 or V19.01.01 versions in English language. If you have a different version or language of VAS PC, you need to uninstall it completely and install VAS PC V19.00 base CD first.

Step 1: Install Java 1.4.2.15
VAS PC requires Java 1.4.2.15 to run properly. You can download it from here. After downloading, run the installer and follow the instructions on the screen. Restart your computer after the installation is complete.
Step 2: Disable Java automatic updates
To prevent Java from updating automatically and causing compatibility issues with VAS PC, you need to disable the update feature. To do this, go to Control Panel > Java Plug-in > Update tab and uncheck "Check for updates automatically". Click Apply and close the window.
Step 3: Install VAS PC V19 base CD
If you already have VAS PC V19.00, V19.01 or V19.01.01 installed on your computer, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you need to install VAS PC V19 base CD first. You can use a virtual drive software such as DAEMON Tools to mount the ISO image of the CD and start the installation. Follow the instructions on the screen and restart your computer when prompted.
Step 4: Install VAS PC V19 hotfix
Now you are ready to install the hotfix for your version of VAS PC. You can download it from here. Run the installer and follow the instructions on the screen.
Step 5: Configure Java settings
After installing the hotfix, you need to configure the Java settings for VAS PC. To do this, open the Configurator shortcut on your desktop and click on Java Settings. In the JVM box, it should show "1.4". If not, refer to point no.4 in the FAQ section below.
Step 6: Activate workshop code
Open VAS PC from your desktop shortcut and click on Administration. Enter your workshop code details as follows:
Distribution Center/Importer No.: enter any 3 digit number and click Q on the on-screen numpad
Dealership Number: enter any 5 digit number and click Q on the on-screen numpad
Dealership Identifier: enter any name and click Q on the on-screen keyboard twice
Close VAS PC.
Step 7: Change CD drive letter in registry
VAS PC uses a specific CD drive letter to install brand CDs (VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat/Bently). You need to change this letter in the registry to match your CD drive or virtual drive letter. To do this, go to Start > Run > type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\SIDIS\\ENV and find the registry entry "THE_REAL_CDROOT". Right click this entry > Modify > then
