DirectPlay - Mulitplayer Host / Client Initialization

Good Morning / Evening,

I have been looking online for directplay resources that can assist me in
creating a directplay host instance and then allow clients to connect to the
host. This is to be used for existing games that use the depreciated
network architecture. I am having a very hard time understanding how to
"implement" it into my existing projects. I am looking for someone to
provide me with a little input that may be of use. I understand its not as
easy as 1, 2, 3 and I understand how it actually works. Its just the
implementation into existing software I have. Is anyone out there willing
to spend a little time with me to point me towards the road to success in
this project? I would be ever so grateful...

P.S Existing tutorials and information online have been helpful in
understanding the techique which i do appreciate. More help is needed.
