windows 2000 SP4 domain - today 4 of my servers time went 3 minutes out of
wack. when I run net time / querysntp on the servers with bad time, I get
"the computer is not currently configured to use an sntp server". My 3
questions 1 - is an sntp server even necessary in a windows 2000 domain ? 2
- is it necessary to configure my clients & servers to get time from an sntp
server or should they get time from active directory automatically ( I have 1
domain controller that gets its time from a time server and the w32time
parameters in the registry show the type as NTP ) and 3 - should the
authoritative time server be configured as NTP or NT5DS ?

thanks
