When you change a Windows 2000 server computer name, does that change the computer SID? If not, how do you change the SID without reinstalling the OS? Thanks.

Changing the computer name does not change the SID. The Microsoft recommended way to change the SID is to use Sysprep. Sysinternals makes a free tool to change the SID called NewSID. You can find it here. http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/newsid.shtml
