After installing Windows 2000 Service Pack 3, Outlook
Express icons are back. I had used information in Q250380
to prevent the creation of these icons when new user
profiles are created. After SP3 this no longer works.
Anyone know which modifications to make in the Registry?

It looks like SP3 links that functionality to the new "Set Program
Access and Defaults" under the Add/remove Program applet. I tried
manually running the hide icon command from the new reg entry, and
that seems to have taken:

The key in question is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Outlook Express\InstallInfo\
"HideIconsCommand"

The Value (the command in question) is:

"%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe"
"%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll",OCInstall HideOE

-D.
