While attempting to configure a Windows 2000 Server vpn host I
discovered the Device Manager/ Network Adapters (Show Hidden Devices
On) doesn't have WAN Miniport (PPTP) or Wan Miniport (L2TP).
Hours on the net looking for a workaround and in Add New Hardware/
network adapters/ microsoft have found nothing.
Thank you in advance for your ideas.

Tried that but it tells me I need to NIC cards, which I don't have. I might
be able to order one from my host... Further ideas encouraged.
Thanks,
Rick

I don't Think it's gonna have a Wan Miniport (L2TP) with only one NIC...
but why it does not have a PPTP one...that's the problem.
Have a lookie here, and close look at appendix B (one NIC set up )

As far as I can see, you can only use PPTP if you only have one NIC .... I
am trying to disprove that but have not succeeded.
Hope this helps you find the answer,
Dave
