When I try to connect using a VPN to my RAS on a LAN I get
back "Error 913 remote access client attempted to connect
to a port reserved for routers"

All of the VPN ports on the RAS are inactive.

How do I fix this?

This can be caused by having LAN and Demand Dial enabled, but not having the
Remote Access Server checked in the Server Properties.

From the RRAS console, check the properties of the WAN miniports. They
should be enabled for RAS connections, not just for routing.

You can also look in your network connections folder. If you have an
"Incoming Connections" icon, open the properties page for that item. Make
sure "Allow VPN Connections" is enabled.
