driver for "client for MS networks"

I am trying to use DCC to get files off my laptop onto my
2000 computer.

when i look to see what protocols, clients and services
are on my machine "client for microsoft networks" is
shaded out(I need this service to perform the direct cable
connection.
when i highlight it and press install, I get message "need
driver for this device"

I don't have my original cd here is there anyway i can
download this driver from the internet?

You should locate the CD or get a replacement.
