We have a user here at Hatch Associates who has been
getting 'blue screen' errors quite frequently while using
VPN. We have tried reinstalling the VPN client and also
service packing it with SP 2 but we have the same results.
We visited the Microsoft website and determined what the
problem is. The current version of ndis.sys is dated
5/04/2001 on his machine. The MS website says there is a
fix for it but I am unable to get it.
The website address is:
http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?
scid=kb;en-us;Q317475
How can I obtain this fix without having to wait for the
next service pack to come out?
As the web site says:
''To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support
Services to obtain the fix.''
They will give you the new file.
