Hi all,

I have 2 PCs, 1 is Win2K, the other is Win98 and they are networked
together. The Win2K connects to broadband inernet. I want to share the
internet, how do i do that ??
I've been "lurking" around this newsgroup for several days ....reading posts
from the masters ... and i'm kinda confused. What's the best way to share
internet :
- built-in ISC from Win2k (i tried but it didnt work !)
- RRAS with NAT (what the hell is that ? and how to ?)
- or buy a damn router (man, i'm a college student, where do i
find the damn money ! )
I'm very close to tear this %^$&^ PCs apart !
I hope you can show me some solutions . Thank you very much.

ICS would be sufficient. What's wrong with it?
RRAS aka Routing and Remote Access Service is a part of W2k server.

You mention that your 2 PCs are networked together. How
have you accomplished this? Are you using a Hub or a
Switch for the two PCs? Or are you connecting the two PCs
together with a crossover cable?

The reason I asked is because if you're using a switch
then that would beg the question of which protocols are
you using to network the two computers. You would need to
use NetBeui in that scenario. I'm partly joking about the
crossover cable method because if you were using this
method to network the two PCs then that setup would lead
to questions about what available port you are using to
connect to the Internet.

I'm assuming you're using the hub or switch so just add
the Netbeui protocol for each computer so that they can
communicate with each other.
