I just bought an ASUS M2N32-SLI deluxe motherboard whos drivers must be
installed after the "Microsoft HD Audio Hotfix". All forums that I found
about it was unresolved. I have tried to find it at Microsoft.com but I can
only find a lot of text explaining what it is and not where to get it.

Where do I get the Microsoft HD audio hotfix for Windows 2000/XP?

I have been having the same problem with ASUS M2N32-SLI deluxe motherboard
and I found this site helpful:
http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/2-vt67270.html?start=10

And this is the download location that was posted:
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/misc/audio/SoundMAX_Audio_v510016310_32bit_2kxp.zip

Additionally this site has audio Asus Audio drivers available for download:
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/misc/audio/ad1988/

and the file titled: 1988b_32bit_510014560.zip (Should be the 3rd from the
top.)

Note: These are both reported to fix the audio to work with 2 channel but
not as 5.1 HD which is fine compared to what I had before but I'd guess that
one of the other files listed on the Asus FTP site might do the trick.

Hope this helps.
