Bad color in video playback

As part of installing Nero CD software V7, I had to upgraded to DirectX9.0c.
Ever since then video's that I play back have a predominantly red tint and
are thus unviewable. This happens with all the players such as Winamp,
Wimdows Media Player etc. Prior to the installation of Nero S/W 7 videos
were displayed correctly.
