Windows XP

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have a new mac and want to transfer all my document files from my pc to the mac.
I have loaded the disc and some of the files are visible but not all, for these I need to have installed windows.
I have set up bootcamp and need to insert the windows disc, I have a Microsoft works windows xp home edition that came with my pc 5 years ago and cannot find out if this is ok to use or not.
I am eing told that i need service pack 2 and cannot upgrade the disc I have on the mac.

Cam somebody please help as Apple have failed

If you use windows xp and your disc is ok, just some of the files are visible, but not all, you can try
