Windows 2003 Services for Macintosh SLOW rebuild times

I have two Macintosh file shares on a Windows 2003 server, each about 300GB
of PDFs and other miscellaneous graphics files. I restarted my server 3
hours ago and it still hasn't rebuilt either of the shares. Any tips or
tweaks i can do to speed this up? The server is only a couple years old, and
looking in task manager it isn't doing much of anything.

server crashes the index can get corrupted and the server must rebuild
it. The speed of the rebuild is dependent on your hardware. A few hours

Bear in mind that Services for Macintosh in Windows Server 2003 is the
last version and will not be included in future versions of Windows Server.

I suggest you consider looking into either a better SMB client for Mac
OS X such as Dave from <http://www.thursby.com> or a better AFP 3.x
compliant server such as ExtremeZ-IP from <http://www.grouplogic.com>.
