Is there a patch for Maxtor 32049H3 to work with win 2000 pro?
Its a UDMA 66 20Gb hard disk.
After the install I shutdown and when I restart, windows says its not
formated (wrong because I boot with a floppy and its ok).

I am running into the same problem. I can install Win2k server onto my 4G
Maxtor, but my 20G gets the BSOD (inaccessible_boot_device) after it runs
through the initial set and reboots, it is unable to read the drive. MS
says theirs no support for ATA100 as of yet. But mine won't work @66
either.

I have contacted Maxtor by e-mail, they sent me a form to fill, please

if they receive several e-mails about the same problem maybe they will fix
it in some way.
