Hello all...
I have a 2-3 yr old Gateway G6-400 desktop system that
originally came with windows 98. I recently upgraded to
win 2000 and tried, unsuccessfully, to play a dvd and was
prompted with an error. "There is no compatable windows
2000 dvd decoder" on this system. Where can i find the
fix for this problem?
TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you check the Win2k HCL list before upgrading? When you did, did you
follow the instructions to see if it was Win2k certified, compatible, or an
software/hardware upgrade would be required.

You need to get a proper DVD player program such as PowerDVD or WinDVD
in order for it to work.
