Hi,

Im just adding another computer to my network to replace one that is getting
to slow.

The new one like the old runs w2k.

The installation was fine and everything works until I try to install my
network cards, that were used successfully in the old computer.

Upon putting the network cards in windows installs multipul WAN Miniport
(IP)#2 or #3 or #4 or another assorted lot. These miniports have conflict
sysmbols with the and the computer goes all funny. Not being able to shut
down properly and everything.

When I remove the card, the miniport goes away along with the card and
everything works fine.

I canm only assume that it is these wan miniports that are causing the
problem as there is no conflict on the card and it worked in the old
computer.

Any ideas as to what these miniports are and how to get rid of them.

Ive tried disabling them and that dont work either.

Thanks

Keith
