Does anyone know the syntax for using XCALCS to set the
permissions on a directory to LIST FOLDER CONTENTS and set
it to apply to that folder only, and not subfolders and
files. Any much would be much appreciated.

If you run

xcacls /?

then you will see all the switches that are available.
The /t switch extends the command to subfolders, so
by not using /t, the command works on the parent
folder only.
