Hi,

I have lost a text file on a server disk. I know it is somewhere on the
unused space surface, but no file-based recovery utility has been able
to locate the filename.

Hence I need a utility which can read trough unused sectors or clusters
and display its contents when a specific text string is found.

Thanks for tips on which win32 based cluster/sector based disk search
utilities. Preferably freeware or trialware ;-)

Thanks for comments and tips

Software called Runtime's DiskExplorer does a wonder job of search & viewing
entire hard drive as text, for easy copy/paste elsewhere. Evaluation copy did
the trick for me, and use the "continue search" function to find any
other copies of the searched text.
