No it isn't.ï¿½ This is the documented behaviour of CMD.ï¿½ It's also the documented behaviour of JP Software's TCC, a replacement for CMD.ï¿½ (Notice that with TCC one can turn the behaviour on and off, for the benefit of those people who think that this inconsistency between scripts and interactive use should not exist.)
