I have some troubles with my scanner I can´t find a driver for my mustek
paragon 12000sp scanner.
I would be very grateful for your advice
Chris
If this scanner has a scsi connector, it is the same as
Trust Model : SCSI Connect 19200 - Excellence Series
You can find drivers at www.trust.com
Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/
Before you buy.
Well I finally figured out how to get this to work. My third party
card is a Tekram 315u. The driver I used was located at
www.mustek-driver.de/Download/europe/12000sp.html
The name of the file is a4scsi22.exe
The location of the win98 driver is:
http://www.mustek-driver.de/Download/driver/a4scsi22.exe
Here is what I did to make it work. Since I had installed so many
other drives in my attempts to get this going, I reinstalled my
operating system. I installed win98 second edition. At this time
I did not have the scanner connected. I got all of my hardware
configured properly then took a disk image using Power Quest Drive Image
Just in case I needed to try something else. Fortunately the install
went flawlessly.
After getting all of my hardware configured correctly, I powered down my
system. I bought a db-50 (scsi-2) to db-25 (scsi 1) adapter that
connects the scsi card to the scanner. I attached the cable and power
to my scanner and turned the computer on. At this point Win98 detected
an unknown device. I selected cancel and booted all the way into
windows. I then ran a4scsi22.exe and it extracted and installed all the
files. I rebooted my system, and this time when Win98 came up, it
detected my scanner. I ran the default windows imaging program and
scanned in a picture. Voila up and running.
I can't tell you how frustrated I was with all the other drivers I
tried, in getting this scanner Mustek ScanExpress 12000sp to work with a
third party card.
In any rate I hope someone else finds this information. If so drop me a
line. You can also contact me for additional help.
